Hornets sign veteran Marks
The New Orleans Hornets signed free-agent Sean Marks, a 9-year NBA veteran who can play both power forward and center.
General Manager Jeff Bower did not release terms of the contract Thursday, citing team policy. Bower says Marks is a veteran leader who will be a great addition to the frontcourt.
Marks, who is 6-foot-10, 250 pounds, has been a role player throughout his career, averaging 3.1 points and 1.9 rebounds in 9.1 minutes per game. He has played for Toronto, Miami, San Antonio and Phoenix.
The former Cal-Berkeley standout also holds the distinction of being the first New Zealand native to play in the NBA.
