Key play

Key stat
64.3 percent. The field-goal percentage for KU in the first half.
Notes
** The Jayhawks made only seven of their 15 free throws on Thursday. It didn't help that Sasha Kaun was one of six from the line.
'It's a fluke if you ask me,' Russell Robinson said. 'That's one thing we've worked on all year, and we've been pretty good so far.'
** KU coach Bill Self said Sherron Collins bumped his left knee, which has been healing from a bruise, at practice Wednesday. Self said Collins didn't move very well Thursday.
'(The injury) is not bad,' Self said. 'It was just too quick for him to turn around and be 100 percent. But he'll be fine.'
** The Jayhawks took the rest of Thursday off aside from looking at the UNLV scouting report after dinner. They'll practice for about 40 minutes today and get more rest leading up to Saturday's game.
